Anyone who has planned a family holiday will know that keeping everyone happy is not always that easy. Mealtimes, travel distances and the different needs and interests of each child all need to be taken into account and older children may well want to try their hand at something with a touch of adventure.
If your children are still young, our advice is to keep life simple – choose a villa with a pool, mix up some fun activities with chill time on the beach and make sure that any cultural visit is balanced by a very large gelato! Eating in Sicily is probably as child-friendly as it could be so at mealtimes, tuck into pizzas or pasta at a local pizzeria or trattoria and keep self-catering simple with barbecues and al fresco dining.
