Wish Sicily in the Press

Wish Sicily in the Jewish Chronicle

Enjoy a bucket list escape in Sicily

We were delighted to see Wish Sicily recommended by the Jewish Chronicle in an article on the best Passover holidays. We all know that holiday prices – accommodation and flights – rise during peak holiday periods such as Easter or summer school holidays. But with the Jewish holiday of Passover falling several weeks later than Easter this year, families with children at Jewish schools have the flexibility to book lower-priced holidays when everyone else is back at school.

Together with suggestions on visiting Canada, St Lucia and Sri Lanka, Sicily was the preferred short-haul option, warm and sunny and with plenty to keep the kids occupied. Travel editor Cathy Winston recommends the thrilling experience of 4 x 4 tours on Mount Etna, a family outing to the treetop adventure park, Parco Avventura Etna, and adventure activities in the Alcantara Gorge. The ancient city of Syracuse, with its historic centre on the island of Ortigia, is another family pleaser, with enough to see and do to keep everyone happy.

All of these activities and locations are easily accessible from Terrazza sul Mare, a 2-bedroom villa with steps down to the sea, and terrace views over the tiny fishing port of Pozzillo. Prices in April from €1790 (sleeps 4).
