OverviewWith four double bedrooms and a large garden with a pool and outdoor kitchen, this generously sized family villa on the flanks of Mount Etna is perfectly placed for a first-class holiday in Sicily. Spend days exploring the villages and wineries on the volcano’s slopes, then head for the towns and beaches around Catania and Taormina for a more coastal vibe.
The villa looks out over a large enclosed garden, dotted with towering palms. Open green lawns provide ample space for the kids to play and, at the heart of the garden lies the irresistible blue sparkling pool. At mealtimes, retreat to the shade of the outdoor kitchen, with its BBQ, woodfired oven and sink, to prepare meals and dine al fresco.
Considerable thought has gone into the design and furnishings, with the provision of all mod cons and conveniences, from mosquito nets and an alarm system to air conditioning in all the rooms. Most of the living and sleeping space is on the ground floor of the villa. Large French windows lead directly from the garden into the large kitchen and dining area where there’s a table for 8 and a relaxed living space with a sofa – perfect for the kids to hang out in when you’re preparing food. An open doorway leads into the lounge, an expansive room with beamed double height ceilings, a huge L-shaped sofa and large screen TV. A staircase leads from the lounge to a mezzanine level with lounge seating, a dining table and convenient work station.
Three of the 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 with showers and 1 with a jacuzzi bath) are on the ground floor. On the mezzanine level, there is a fourth double bedroom, another small storage room, and a separate toilet. None of the bathrooms are ensuite.
